The Roller Coaster Ride called Christianity

Everyday is an up and down roller coaster ride with God. Some days I feel closer than ever then other days I feel like I couldn’t be farther from Him. Let’s be honest, it is hard to have a relationship with someone you can’t see. Sometimes I feel like I’m dialing God’s number and all I’m getting is the answering machine. Or when I’m talking to him it feels like it’s my own voice that is responding. Frustration sets in. God, what happened? Do I know you, or not? Why does it seem like I pray with no avail?
Critical thoughts enter my mind. Well, you’re just not good enough. You know, you aren’t all that smart, nor are you that pretty, and you know what else, people don’t really care for you anyway. They don’t love you. You’re on your own. You’re too ugly to even go outside. You’re getting too fat. No one would ever want to be with you. You don’t have any power when you pray. God doesn’t really care, if he did, then why didn’t he answer your prayers? Why doesn’t anything change when you pray? You’re just not good enough.
Ever have these thoughts enter into your mind? Well forget them because they are all lies. The enemy will do anything to bring you to a state of confusion so he can go in for the kill. This is what he’s best at; he steals, kills, and destroys. He wants to single you out so he can knock you off. Have you ever noticed the people who leave your church? They slowly start moving towards the back of the sanctuary to sit, they keep to themselves, and they are the first to rush home after services without talking to anyone. They were victimized by Satan’s lies. They withdrew from their church family and were taken out by the enemy.
Enough is enough. This is a warning to all. A great move of God has arrived. God is here and Satan is working overtime to do anything to make you miss it. He wants you to believe that you are too lowly to be apart of this movement. Don’t let him take you out. Shut up the enemy every time you show up to meet with God. Shut him up through your worship, dance, prayers, meditation, through any means where you are communing with God.
Don’t you know that God loves you? He loves you with an everlasting love. Think about that. His love will NEVER end for you! He loves you every second of every minute of every day. He doesn’t see us the way we do, he sees us as kings and priests. Can’t you just picture God up in heaven bragging to his angels about how awesome you are? He knows our hearts and knows what we go through. He wants to speak to you. Yes you, he wants to speak to you. If you have been paying close attention to what’s going on in churches then you should be noticing that he is starting to speak to the congregation sometimes even more so than the preacher! So listen up cause he has something to say through you, too!
A relationship with God is simple so keep it simple! Stick close to Jesus, seek him, love him, and watch what happens.
And for all the ladies out there, I know that there was a point in your life where someone crushed you by telling you that you were not good enough. I know this because as little girls we tend to think we are princesses. We were doing just fine, dancing along being pretty and perfect, just loving life. Then one day some bully came along and stole our princess rights. They said we weren’t pretty enough, we weren’t skinny enough, we weren’t smart enough, and we would never amount to anything. These words may have only been spoken to us once but they still echo in our minds. Well I’m here to tell you the good news! Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the Beholder is passionate about you! You have been forgiven, redeemed, accepted, loved and you are beautiful. Notice I said you are beautiful, not you used to be beautiful or that you will be beautiful some day, but you are presently, at this time, beautiful. So rise up and put that pretty pink dress of yours back on because we are daughters of the Most High King and Prince Jesus, our Beholder, is asking us to dance with him.
